SAMATVA - A National Teacher's Training Academy operates under the aegis of the Sri Aurobindo Society, Puducherry. The academy is dedicated to empowering educators to become effective facilitators of integral and joyful learning. Designed as a centre of transformative education, SAMATVA provides a conducive environment where teachers can evolve through reflective practice, collaboration, and a deeper understanding of lifelong learning principles founded on the educational philosophy of Sri Aurobindo and The Mother.

SAMATVA functions as a training institute for both in-service and aspiring educators, offering programmes that integrate theory and practice in meaningful ways. It is committed to delivering pedagogical training rooted in the principles of Integral and Holistic Education, thus enhancing educators' professional competence in harmony with the National Education Policy 2020, and the NCF and NCERT frameworks. Through its thoughtful initiatives and courses, SAMATVA aims to strengthen the educational fabric by preparing teachers who embody vision, skill, and a commitment to holistic child development.

At SAMATVA we endeavour Integral Education to go beyond the four walls of a classroom. Teaching techniques involve a 360 degree approach with a blend of modern and traditional knowledge that promotes not only academic excellence in children but also brings out their inner potential.

Sri Aurobindo Society – The Management

SAMATVA is managed by the Sri Aurobindo Complex Trust (SACT) under the guidance of the Sri Aurobindo Society (SAS), Pondicherry.

SAS works across diverse fields, including education, health, management, sustainable development, Indian culture, youth, women, media, arts, business, and technology, to bring dynamic spirituality into material life. Over the past four decades, SAS has established numerous schools and teacher training institutes across India, promoting transformative education in line with Sri Aurobindo's vision and educational philosophy.

SACT, the state headquarters of the Sri Aurobindo Society in Karnataka, operates from Sri Aurobindo Complex in JP Nagar, Bangalore. The Managing Trustee of SACT also serves as the Chairman of SAMATVA. Under the guidance of SAS, SACT manages ‘Mirambika School For New Age’, ‘Auro-Mirra International School’, and ‘The Auro School’, all integral education schools affiliated with CBSE, in Bangalore.

Sanskriti University (SU) is a dynamic state private university established under the Uttar Pradesh State Act and empowered to award degrees under Section 22(1) of the UGC Act, 1956. Rupantar

Rupantar is another education arm of Sri Aurobindo Society, envisioned as a teacher centric social innovation platform for transforming school education across India. It focuses on qualitative improvement in government schools, enabling 360 degree transformation, supporting curricular innovation, and promoting inclusive, competency based, experiential classrooms in the spirit of NEP 2020.

Over the years, Rupantar has built one of the country's largest networks of educators through programs such as ZIIEI (Zero Investment Innovations for Education Initiatives), Project Inclusion for children with learning difficulties, and extensive capacity building initiatives for school leaders and teachers. Rooted in Sri Aurobindo and The Mother's vision of integral education, its work blends values, inner growth and Indian Knowledge Systems with contemporary pedagogy to make education more child centred, equitable and transformative.

In this spirit, Rupantar, sharing objectives and approaches closely aligned with those of SAMATVA, substantially strengthens and complements its teacher training programs.

Chirantana

Chirantana Institute of Introspective Studies (Chirantana IIS) is an organisation dedicated to nurturing inner growth and holistic well being through the wisdom of Indian Knowledge Systems. Working with children, young people and families, it designs reflective, value based learning spaces that cultivate self awareness, emotional balance and a deeper connection with one's cultural and spiritual roots. Through initiatives such as its Growing as a Kutumba, Swa-Avalakonam, Swasthyam, Chirantana IIS weaves together storytelling, contemplative practices, language, psychological principles, research and IKS based learning to support both socio-emotional wellbeing, development of critical thinking and character formation in a warm, community centred environment.

Chirantana makes a significant contribution to SAMATVA's programs by bringing its expertise into the design and facilitation of teacher education processes. Its involvement helps teachers deepen their understanding of values based living and culturally rooted pedagogy, and thereby complements and strengthens SAMATVA's efforts towards integral, transformative teacher development.

MiTran Global

MiTran Global is dedicated to strengthening the positivity of K–12 learners and educators by merging scientific psychological assessments with technology-enabled interventions. We empower school ecosystems to move decisively from subjective care to objective, data-driven ‘Positivity assessment’. Pioneering the concept of facial analysis in India through its ‘EmotionAI Powered Positivity Tracker’, MiTran Global provides comprehensive positivity reports ‘on the fly’.
